What to Bring On Rowing Day Trip
If you are planning a little fun on the water and you are wondering what to bring on a rowing day trip, just plan for the basics. First is your life jacket. Never take a water trip of any kind unless you have a life jacket on for basic safety. Next is bottled water for drinking. Do not drink the water from the river. It is much safer to drink bottled water and if you purchase the plastic bottles, they will float if you tip the boat.
You will want to know where you are so bring a water proof map of the area with information about history and landing beaches. Bring binoculars so you can site see along the shore for wild life, flowers and plants and rock formations. Food is an important part of your day trip and you need to plan for easy eating and non perishable meals. Bring a good meat stick you can slice and eat while rowing. For other snack or food choices you can bring a small, floating cooler filled with drinks, salads, cheese, steaks to cook on a small shoreline fire and do not forget the sweet treats of good chocolate and a sweet red wine.
